This one was also badly overexposed... But I suppose that is inevitable when one's shutter is holding a film holder over the lens.

Two dark slides are the way to do this. Fan them so you have a V shaped slit and use your wrist to pivot past the slit. You can reliably get 1/25 to 1/50 this way.
