Source: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Movie, 1971)
Artist: Lyrics and Music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley
Performed by Gene Wilder
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite songs of all time. With just a twinge of eeriness similar to the way Wilder originally presented it, I wanted to explore a bit more of the smoothness the melody could take.

This gorgeous rendering of this song is probably the best part of my day today! *listens again and again*
Of the Movies:
Wilder may not have captured the Willy Wonka I imagine from the books but he did capture something special!
While the remake has a good number of improvements in sticking to the book its completely destroyed by the additional things Mr.Burton did from the completely added "Willy's father" BS to the stupid puppet thing o.O to his and Johnny Dep's version of Mr.Wonka; which is not the book Wonka(neither is Gene Wilder's really, but its a Wonka you love, instead of a Wonka that's over the top creepy! -_-).
