https://ych.commishes.com/auction/show/4PJH3/voraan-the-guardian·—————— Hunter’s Notes ——————·Voraan the Guardian
"He is the last warrior of his kind. Pride became their curse, and now the village lingers as but a shadow of its former glory. It endures only by an oath beyond the grasp of time."
“Deadlier than his strikes is the will that guides them.”
·—————— After the fight ——————·After the fight, he sinks to one knee, driving the blade of his arm into the earth, as if to hold himself from falling.
- "You have prevailed…"
He bows his head, resting his other hand upon his knee, giving a silent salute.
-"It is not anger that drives you… but a greater purpose. I dare not hold you any longer."
The Hero passes by. Returning a moment later, the warrior is gone. Further on, the village breathes quietly: in the workshop, a craftsman mends armor and weapons, slow and deliberate. Here, the Hero may strengthen their gear, yet the village itself hums in a soft, almost slumbering calm.
Stepping outside, the Hero sees Voraan in the distance. He stands in the shadows, still and watchful, observing young mantis-kin at play. Their laughter drifts through the square, light and fleeting. The air seems heavy with duty, each movement, each breath of Voraan measured against the life of the settlement.
Later, at the village bench, one may speak with him again. His voice is low, weary, yet careful:
- "Others call us proud… and quick to anger. Let them. It is that pride which keeps me at my post."
- "When the laughter of young ones fills the air, I know my watch is not in vain."
