Ever since childhood, Fiona always had a fondness for automotive racing and engineering. A trait she picked up from her father, a retired professional racer, Jamie Torana, now full-time mechanic working in the outskirts of the bustling city.

Fiona would work non-stop to ensure she had the best driving machine in the known universe and partake in late night street races, where she earned the nickname “Twin-Turbo.” (Much to her dismay on why she’s called as such.)

Impressed by his daughter’s skill, Jamie, with the help of some old contacts, managed to earn his daughter a position in an upcoming championship, where she could finally put her skills to the test. Despite a rough start, Fiona pulled through and won her first championship at the age of 19. Thanks to her victory, business for her family’s auto-shop skyrocketed. However, disaster would soon follow.

During Fiona’s second championship, on the drive to their next destination, the daughter and father duo were ambushed by Brainjackers, one of the most ruthless cyberpsycho gangs known all across the galaxy. This seemingly unprovoked shooting resulted in a brutal accident, instantly killing Jamie and leaving Fiona in very critical condition, with her right arm completely mangled, giving them no choice but to amputate and give her a cybernetic replacement.

With her father gone, she had no choice but to put all her focus on running her father’s shop. However, with the ongoing rise of crime all across Chromos II, business was dwindling hard.

Things would take an unexpected turn for Fiona, when Ignis Draco barged into her shop with a young, wounded Krowke Rakett, asking for her aid in helping the former Brainjacker, which she initially refused. However, upon learning that the young crow was only a year younger than she was, she begrudgingly aided in repairing Krowke.

Afterwards, Ignis offered Fiona to join him on his travels across the stars. The galah was adamant on remaining home, however in doing so, she will more than likely become another victim of the Brainjackers.

Seeing no other choice, she accepts Ignis’ offer, leaving behind her previous life. Now she acts as APEX’s main engineer, alongside Krowke unfortunately, though she isn’t afraid to brush off her old driving skills whenever things get dicey.

Yessir! Meet the newest member of APEX, Fiona "Twin-Turbo" Torana!

So, something you should know about her: she's a Galah, which is a bird native to my home country, which means...yes, she's Australian!

Kinda ironic, since I replayed Borderlands The Pre-Sequel recently. Been thinking of giving her a shotgun inspired by Boganella.

I was debating whether or not to make her a Cockatoo or a Galah, so I asked my friend  shardthedragon01522 on which one would be better, and we settling with the latter.

Also wanna give a quick shoutout to my other friend Chao-Traveller (https://www.deviantart.com/chao-traveler) for helping me choose the colour scheme for her outfit.

Another fun fact, originally her last name was gonna be Monaro, like the Holden Monaro, since she's a mechanic/engineer. Though after a small Google search, I found out "Monaro" is Aboriginal for 'high plain' or 'high plateau', but I also found sources that it's believed to be derived from "Maneroo", which in Aboriginal means either 'the navel' or 'a woman's breasts.'

So I though...yeah, that probably won't work. And so I went with Torana (again, like the Holden Torana), which is Aboriginal for 'to fly', which I thought works better since she's an avian.
