Standard Day 185, Standard Year 19,865

Just another day on yet another world. So, here I am, letting a fellow traveler take holos of me whilst I go riding. I adore this shomoro, the hoverbike. One of a million sorts, this rugged little beast has borne my hefty otterish butt across now close to a dozen worlds. The bike, that is, not the traveler taking the holos! Hehhh, sometimes I forget you need to specify.

So, I'm Shanada Peri, and I can't say I have a job per se, or a career. Spent six years in the Ankadian Mecha Corps though, so it's not like I didn't do anything with my life. I hold citizenship in the Koradi Cluster, my home polity, and I'm out here for the same reason I served in a military - to get away from the swaddling softness of my home. A home where Fog is common and everywhere, and the slightest injury healed almost before you feel it; where your right to life is preserved by a trillion trillion nanobots in swarms controlled by the local AI node, ready to swoop in and save you from all of life's little pains and inconveniences. It's sweet and loving and caring and so ungodsly utterly boring!

My answer is simple - go out, see the greater galaxy outside of the cluster, do it in what I consider style, and happily put myself at reasonable risk. When I grow tired of it (though I don't think I will), I'll go home for a lifetime or two. It's a viable lifestyle. Maybe somewhere in there I'll find something that lights up that passion we otters, heck, all Rianths have in them. I hope so!
