Ambrosia (Octonauts OC Villains)
The leaders of Ambrosia, the Octonauts and DAWN's vilest enemy
Of all the criminal organizations out there, Ambrosia stands out with its horrifying dedication to illegal experimentation on animals - both feral and sapient alike - responsible for birthing all manners of abominations in its bid to revert the world to an all-natural state to supposedly help animalkind transcend the need to adapt and in turn render evolution "superfluous". To this end, the organization also boasts an allegedly far reach across the globe, rooted in several industries through its members and responsible for various disappearances over the past couple of decades as well, including children. Small wonder why so many speak of this group in both disgust and fear, even the Board of Directors at DAWN.
For all its longevity, however, Ambrosia doesn't sport the best track record in regards to teamwork due to teeming with so many self-serving (and backstabbing) individuals. In fact, treachery and cruelty among the lower ranks are common in Ambrosia, even encouraged on the basis that “it promotes healthy competition”. Rather, the organization had mainly gotten so far and lasted so long due to the charisma and ruthlessness of its Elysium Council, a small group of high-profile leaders and titans of industry led by the enigmatic Head Director.
Ambrosia has landed a fair number of decisive blows on DAWN, especially in recent years thanks to a horrifying concoction created by Dr. Steyn called the Phoenix Serum. These victories have evidently emboldened the Council and their subordinates, convinced that their ultimate goal is almost within their grasp.
Pride comes before the fall, though, because DAWN (the Octonauts in particular) have been stepping up their game in return - and something has been off about Dr. Kabore and the Revenants lately...
These are the Elysium Council's current members:
Hayate Yamashita (voiced by Gaku Space) - a male tanuki from Japan and one of Ambrosia's biggest financial backers. He runs a multinational tech company based in Osaka and secretly supplies Ambrosia with most of its technology, making him invaluable as an asset. Unfortunately, as the youngest member of the Council and the only one who inherited his seat (courtesy of his father), he's got quite the chip on his shoulders and struggles to have the others take him seriously as a major player beyond his utility. Between this and the pressure of having to upkeep the reputation of his family's company, the young tanuki has known no shortage of stress and resorted to falling back on childhood pastimes like video games just to keep sane. In truth, there is a part of Hayate that hates how trapped he's become, having no choice but to play the part of a legitimate businessman and smug playboy while paying lip service to some serious lunatics. The only people privy to his true feelings happen to be the various departmental heads of his company, some he handpicked himself while others from his father's time as CEO.
Johanika Steyn (voiced by Suanne Braun) - a female springhare from South Africa and Ambrosia's lead scientist. Once a member of TRAIL, this egotistical and opportunistic bio-geneticist departed on less than amiable terms after one too many arguments with Director Nyoni in regards to her disregard for ethical experimentation. Now under Angelou, this madwoman is free to create whatever horrors she pleases, hence why she is the most loyal to the Head Director out of all the council members, practically to a fanatical degree. The one responsible for "creating" the Revenants, as well as the various other monsters used by Ambrosia for both security and heavy artillery, she is Angelou's right hand and personally oversees all top secret projects - one in particular has kept her busy to the point of needing a stand-in for her seat on the council, hence a certain crocodile. She's often seen levitating thanks to her specially made hover-shoes, her way of flaunting her supposed superiority over others.
Linus Angelou (voiced by Richard Schiff) - a male blue jay from the United States and the Head Director of Ambrosia. Known as the Father of Lies among both Ambrosia and enemies alike, Linus uses both his grandfatherly persona and silver tongue to lure potential recruits and allies to his side while mentally disarming any who dare stand in his way. In reality, Angelou is a control freak of the highest degree and does not tolerate surprises of any kind (not even birthday parties). For this reason, the elderly bird has contingencies on top of contingencies to an obsessive degree, accounting for every possible outcome and setback, even ones that others haven't considered yet. Due to this intense paranoia, access to him is nigh impossible for those outside of the Elysium Council, and even for them, he usually only communicates through telecom nowadays, indicating his attention has been focused elsewhere lately. He may have had a connection to DAWN in the past but neither the Board of Directors (those who know of Angelou's past anyway) nor Dr. Inkling will confirm this.
Ingrid Fosse (voiced by Camilla Arfwedson) - a female arctic fox from Norway and Ambrosia's head of intelligence and espionage. Fosse is easily the most approachable of the Council's members yet also the most deceptive outside Angelou, her affable carefree demeanor blending well with her ability to read the room and people. The daughter of well-renowned magicians, she taught the Revenants' Medea (a.k.a. Cassie Hunter) much of what she knows about escape artistry and evasion. She also runs her own world-famous fashion company, an easy legitimate front through which to host extravagant parties where Ambrosia can safely conduct business with allies and find potential recruits unnoticed. Fosse excels at piecing together others' weaknesses, usually at a glance, and relies on her network of spies and, when necessary, assassins, to silence any potential troublemakers. Fosse excels at staying relentlessly calm and, unlike Angelou, doesn't mind when things go pear-shaped. If anything, she relishes in the chaos of the unexpected, believing the "luck of the draw" to be the true spice of life.
Aiden Martin (voiced by Jack Hawkins) - a massive male common wombat from (surprise) Australia and the muscle and strategist behind the Council. A former big-game hunter, army veteran, and poacher, he now runs a massive underground circuit for both animal trafficking and illegal fights. He lives for the thrill of violence and even more so for the satisfaction of victory, moral constraints like collateral damage and compassion laughable to him, if not downright pathetic. This man has no qualms circumventing the rules to get what he wants and will gladly resort to underhanded tactics just to have a fight happen. He's also an absolute hedonist, seeking only the finest quality of material pleasures, be they wine or food or women, seeing such pursuits as the right of the strong. However, even a juggernaut like him can't outmuscle the ravages of time, his age and health slowly but surely taking their toll in recent years, hence why he's banking so much on Steyn's newest version of the Phoenix Serum.
