Inspector Skyler Miller
Birthday: Dec 11th
A police inspector operating out of the St. Hector Police Department's Coheed Station. His incredibly keen intuition has led him to cracking several tough cases, though his impulsive and reckless nature also leads to him occasionally taking "creative liberties" to do so. While never doing anything illegal, and he always does collar the right person, he's been dressed down by the station's Chief Inspector more than a few times.
when he's on the case of Guy Noir's murder, he immediately realizes this wasn't just a random killing. When the Global Police Organization - GLOPOL - get involved and lock him out, he's only more driven to find the truth. His efforts unwittingly draw Celeste right into the middle, and it more-or-less results in her near-death experience that causes her mutation. Feeling immense guilt due to the this, he ends up supporting her superhero activities to try and keep her out of further trouble. Supporting a vigilante, however, starts to put him at odds with his superiors, as well as his friend and fellow investigator, Clay.
- Keen investigative sense. Is willing to chase any loose ends, even if the completely unravel the case he's already built.
- Former track runner, trained in boxing at the academy. Boasts speed and power, with a strong left haymaker.
- Excellent chase driver.
- Unlike most other canines, he's able to see in full colour, having absolutely no form of colour-blindness.
-- Extra Trivia --
- December 11th was the airdate of the first episode of The Lost Room miniseries, the protagonist of which Sky shares his last name with. The two other investigators he interacts with most also take the last names of other characters from the show.
- Sky is actually the first original furry character I ever created! This was well before I started identifying as a furry.
- You may have noticed the note that Sky is unlike most other canines in that he doesn't have colour-blindness. In the Celectrique universe, there are four main species referred to as "sapiens" - canines, felines, avians, and lagomorphs, and each species has some characteristics more unique to them. An overwhelming percentage of canines in the Celectrique universe do have a form of colour-blindness, most commonly deuteranomaly, though not always. There is a small percentage who, like Sky, can see in what we would call full-colour vision.
