chasing immortality this small group took on a strange path
they had fused their bodies with parts of vampire and demon, no longer human, each member picking and choosing best of both (yet having to settle with some sacrifices or necessary evils to keep the whole thing running)
their small community had taken on the name of "moon folk", with seemingly the Sun itself wanting to burn their unnatural bodies into a pile of ash and bones
