The Lethian Empire is one of the great powers of Firupe and among its most multinational and multiracial nations. Composed of several different cultures and species, the worlds of the Heinswicks monarchy are as diverse as the species that inhabit them. Although great tensions of nationalistic fever or racial conflict arise from this amalgamation of nations, the empire still holds together for as long as the Heinswicks can direct their ship towards calm waters. Here we see a few of the realms and their troops that make up the Lethian Empire.
The Kingdom of Marobodia was a powerful imperial state within the former DLE although its influence and power slowly waned over the centuries. During the Fifty Years War, the kingdom would revolt against the DLE and the Heinswick dynasty over religious and political differences but were eventually crushed and the throne taken by the Heinswicks. Yet the realm never lost its flourishing culture which continues to inspire many to this day. Forces raised from this realm are primarily composed of Vulperi who share a kinship with their Polderian brethren up north.
Of course, the beating heart of the Heinswick Monarchy rests within the stellar realm known as the Archduchy of Lethia where the emperors and their most important ministers, nobles, and generals reside. The realm of Lethia lords over the rest of the Heinswick domains and is the center of the empire’s cultural, economic, and scientific innovations. Soldiers raised from this Lethia are primarily made up of the canid race who make up much of the ruling class in the empire.
A source of major troubles and headaches for the Heinswicks, the Kingdom of Ongyar is a fiercely independent kingdom who's relationship with the Heinswicks Monarchy is a complicated one. Being the largest realm in the whole monarchy, the Ongyarians rest in a unique position to demand further autonomy from the empire compared to the other realms and have done so on numerous occasions. Armies raised from Ongyar consist mainly of the Lynxius race and are among the best in the empire with their cavalry reigning supreme even among other nations of Firupe.
A developing region in the Thralkanian Peninsula, the Voivodeship of Nisava was formed from spoils of war acquired through centuries of military conflicts with the Uthoman empire and subsequent nation building efforts to consolidate the newly acquired worlds in Thralkania. The voivodeship borders several independent nations including the Uthoman empire which required the presence of numerous border armies to deter incursions into the realm. Soldiers raised from this realm are primarily made up of the Bawget race who are noted to be rather aggressive and capable warriors.
The Grand Principality of Sylvagria is a cursed and backwater sector of space where many of the worlds here are coated in darkness for much of the stellar year. Acquired from the Uthomans during their wars, the Heinswicks managed to earn the respect and loyalty of the local nobility who pledged their services to them. Troops raised from this realm consist of the infamous Wlachz race who excel in night warfare and close quarters combat. They also drink the blood of their enemies as part of a local tradition much to the disgust of their Lethian allies.
