I can definitely feel a lot of the inspiration from the feel and dark aura, and also that specific snout detail plus just a smidge of the eyes all feels just about right for what inspired you!

And Nicodemus' more soft expressions and demeanor, well...."old soft". There's still that unintentional grouch in some micro expressions. Otherwise it's variable between "tired" or "fatigued", neutral, and the classic wiseman or sage look.

You nailed it, I must say.

Take the serene softness of Nicodemus, the flair of bottled up rage from Pew, the cold air of distance from Shadow and finally the cheekiness from Bulli the white rat. Those features mixed together result in the being we now know as Eternal the dark rat.

And I wouldn't have it any other way, Eternal is perfect the way he is. -v-

I think one of the things you've yet to do for Eternal is something Dragon Ball-like!

Now I am not necessarily talking about clothes.

I'm talking about power!
I want to see you draw Eternal emitting Ki Energy!
Ki Energy is that energy that classically radiates from the character, it flows upwards aa usual, but to better describe it, it radiates off the character in "bent horizontal strings"!
Anytime a character radiates that with pebbles or small rubble floating upwards always looks super cool!

If it were standard "aura", it'd simply be Eternal with a glowing color around him in the near-exact shape of his body!

Eternal´s aura is mostly invisible, but if he emits it, it is not like Ki energy, but rather like a mix bedween light and smoke.

It sounds like a relatively common depiction of a different energy emission. .v.

Eternal is not so much into special effects.
Because real power needs no performance, as he would say.

Very fair point, that is quite true. But special effects are definitely fun to at least look at. -u-

Oh yeah! I remember Shadow. :D I like that he wore a leotard in the show. And he's a perfect source of inspiration for Eternal. :D
