My Valentino inspired cryptid! He is an original character from my VRC RP, who we use a Valentino avatar to play. We loved his character so much that after rethinking an original design with AI, I decided to spend all day making him a reality, and here is the result of that!
TLDR: I've been gone because of my shift in focus for my RP, and subsequently my characters.
In case yall missed why my GF and I haven't been active for awhile, its because our RP is the center of why we even made our FA channels in the first place. We wanted to be able to buy and commission the characters we already had, but have them as proper OC's instead of random images and other people's OC's. We wanted to be able to share our world through art. That was when our RP was in text on our Discord server. Since we've moved the RP to VRChat, of course use avatar substitutes for our characters, and we've made many more characters with the wide arrange of avatars at our disposal. Not only would it be weird to get/make art of VRC avatars we don't own, but it would also be a waste, as our VRC characters die far more often than our text characters would due to there being no financial investment in them. Since VRC avatars, and subsequently the personality we attach to them, are so replaceable. So its just not a wise decision to invest time/money into a character we don't own, and who could die at any moment. If I want to see our VRC characters in 2D, AI is just a fundamentally better option for that. However, Mothman is an exception due to the fact that he's a Demon, and can come back after death. There are also two other exceptions to my rule against getting art for VRC characters... And perhaps you'll see them in the future!
