Gus entered the dorm and spotted Drake sleeping in Alfonzo's bed. Alfonzo saw Gus enter the room with a look of shock on his face. "You finally did it!" Gus gasped. "You found a human! Did you tell anyone?"
The blue fox shook his head. "Nope! I wanted to surprise you."
"Yeah, you sure did." Gus said. "But how are we supposed to keep him here in the dorms? Someone could spot him and they'll know we were the ones harboring an E.T. We could end up being sent to government questioning--or worse!"
Alfonzo scratched his chin. As he thought, Drake woke up. "So, this is your buddy?" the human boy asked.
"Yes, I'm Gus." the rabbit buck replied. "We are trying to find a way to get you to a safer place."
Alfonzo had a lightbulb turn on in his head. "Let's take him to Clark Quest."
"Who is Clark Quest?" Drake asked.
"He's a genius." Alfonzo replied.
"That doesn't tell me much, fox boy." Drake said unamused.
Gus sighed, "What Alfonzo is saying is that Clark is a lion who is an expert computer wiz. He knows how to hack into top secret government files without getting caught by the feds."
Drake gave a dark laugh. "That's what they all say on my planet who dares try to hack shadow governments. Many earth humans have been sent to the secret space program just for hacking into their system or leaking classified government documents to civilians. Some end up killed and then covered up as a suicide or an accident." Drake warned, "Mark my words, this Clark guy is way over his head on this one. He'd be better being a normal guy dreaming of dating girls or working out to get bigger muscles in the gym or something."
"He does those things." Alfonzo replied. Him being a conspiracy theorist is what he hides from normal animal people. He also has a fascination for humans. He lives off campus in a house of his own. We are going to sneak you over there so you can have more room and freedom until we find a way to get you home to Earth."
"I have no home on Earth. The space program made it so I don't exist there. My presence is going to raise many questions. The SSP would find a way to cover my sudden appearance." Drake said.
"Oh, we'll see about that!" Alfonzo smirked.
Hours later, the three boys snuck out of the dorms. It was a late night and nobody was in sight. The trio found their way off campus until they found a single story white house. Alfonzo rang the doorbell. Seconds later, a lion with a dyed neon green mane opened the door. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He was moderately muscular. "Alfonzo, Gus, what are you both doing this late? Shouldn't you two be getting some sleep?"
"We need you for a favor." Gus said. "We have a human that got away from his home planet's secret space program."
"Hi, I'm Drake" the human replied.
"In that case, bring him in." Clark nodded his face lightening up. "Tell me your story." The three told how Alfonzo spotted, chased and caught Drake, hid him in his dorm, showed him to Gus and how Drake ran away from the SSP. "Fascinating! Don't worry boys, he is safe with me." The lion turned to Drake. "You and I are going to have to get to know each other better."
Gus and Alfonzo left Clark's house. "I hope Clark doesn't botch this one." Gus said.
"I think the two will be fine. We'll see them tomorrow after class." Alfonzo replied. "For now, let's enjoy nature as we return to our dorms."
