1 of 2 pictures of the wave of bats I'm posting when I went to the bat cave to see a few hundred thousand bats.
http://www.olt.org/programs/bats/bats.htm This is where we went.
I took a lot of pictures but most sucked because I'm still learning my camera and didn't have a lot of time.

Yea, WNS is really hurting the bat poulation. It's not too Colorado yet but it's getting closer.
Our bats may get lucky. WNS happens during hibernation and East Coast Hibernaculas have 100% humidity at their highest humidity levels during mid winter. Colorado caves hit their highest in the Fall and they only get about 50% humidity, local scientists are hoping that will keep our bats from catching it if it gets this far.
They believe it came from Europe because it is seen in European bats but they also seem immune to it.

I certainly hope your bats get lucky.
The insect population in Vermont has skyrocketed since WNS devastated ours. The VT bat population is currently down 94%, which is a mind-blowing statistic. Our largest bat cave, Mount Aeolus, has gone from 300,000 bats to a couple hundred.
So good luck. Hug a bat for me. <3
