He was only 4 when he died. I would have loved to have had so many more years with him but I'm just thankful for what he was able to give me.

I know the feeling all too well. I once had two cats named Lightning and Tiger.Lightning was a short haired and Tiger was a medium haired. After reading your response to DeadSpaceBro I can say that Tiger died long before Lightning. She was around 4 years old when we eventually put her down. Lightning lived to be around theirs cat’s age before we put her down. We gave them the best life we could as I know you did as well. Keep the good memories in your heart and he’ll always be with you in spirit.

Thanks. It was definitely tough for a bit. You’re right, it’s never a nice thing to go through losing a member of your family furry or human but as you said it is a part of life and even knowing that it still affects people differently. For me personally it helped the impact last a lot less whereas it can still take a lot longer for others. Everyone’s different not just physically but emotionally as well. Things that affect one person one way will most likely affect others in as much different way.
