i.s.o. Issue #4 preview: Cover
One of my very few 100% computer-colored jobs (you can probably notice my shaky mouse-coloring if you look close), mainly because I knew I'd have lots of glow effects and I figured this was cleaner than mixing markers and computer. The left and right will be cropped near the girders for the hard copy, but I kind of like this full version. I am not much for Photoshop, but this was a nice crash course in layer usage and layer effects.
Yeah, I know I'm plugging the comic a lot, but I don't do color pieces as often as I'd like, and this came out better than I thought. I'll post a journal when it's ready for sale; it'll be at Anthrocon but available online shortly after Anthrocon.

I can't stop giggling after seeing the action in the background! Is that what the characters are thinking as they watch the Cody/Doug interaction? (Trevor's *squee!* pose is classic, BTW.)
Mouse coloring? Dude. I'm no artist, but doing coloring work with a COMPUTER MOUSE?? That's nuts. Saying that, you did pretty well with what you have...but seriously, don't be surprised if you get artists replying to this saying, "Okay Vince, repeat after me... Graaa-phiiiirrreee... Iinn-tuuuu-ooosss..."
I'll definitely be looking for Issue #4 at AC! :-D

Intuos...Wacom's step-up version of the Graphire tablet. Like I said, I'm no artist so I don't have an educated opinion about tablets and couldn't tell you if it's truly a step-up or not. :-P

Thankee. I originally did a quick color-test mockup sketch of the cover beforehand, and it had that funny overlap on the purple areas with the speed-coloring. It was actually agreed it was kind of a nice, surreal effect, so I kept it in the final. And it's a little more subtle in print, too
lol i was about to order this but im afraid the mail man might be at the door with the comic XD and when i finally get my hands on it. my family might wonder what it is and..lol im still hiding the fact of me being gay from my family XD..well i guess its easier to confess online though..
