If I haven't stated before, I'm kind of working for Warner Brothers as a Production Assistant for the upcoming 2013 Superman film, 'Man of Steel.'
There was a Kick-Off Party tonight to celebrate the first few days of filming here in the past week. Full of free food, drinks, dancing and the like. Was a lot of fun.
That and Henry Cavill was there.
Now, a lot of you are probably going like "Who the fuck is that?" Well Henry hasn't had a very long film career yet. He's 28, British, handsome, and slightly experienced in film work. He played bit part in 'The Count of Monte Cristo,' and 'Stardust.' This film will be the first in which he plays a leading role. Superman.
I saw him at the bar, and introduced myself, interested to see what the guy was all about. We both had an awesome, long conversation about acting, and life in general. I was surprised that he holds many of the same ideals and beliefs as myself, and that's just awesome.
Really nice guy. Really great guy. Was an absolute pleasure talking with him and he even let me have a picture with him. I'll upload that tomorrow.
TLDR - MET A FILM ACTOR. WAS A GOOD NIGHT.
P.S. - Man, last year I met Doug Walker and this year it's Henry Cavill. Who next? :D

well I am a film and video student as well as an theater student so I would just like to get a job there doing work like even if it was just an internship or if you could set it up where i just follow a director of a new movie around for a day of shooting it would be cool. I wanna be a director one day and as far as connections go you are my best shot at getting onto a set and seeing what the whole thing is like. Also i just love warner bros so I would just like to get a tour lol. So basically I wanna chance to see what I wanna do for the rest of my life for a bit and see what it would take to get involved.
Well first of all, I'm in the Picture Cars department. I don't get to see or talk to any of the big wigs working on the film, aside from the Picture Cars big wigs. Second, unfortunately, you don't ask them for a job; they're ask for you. I mean, I could bring you up and see what my boss says, bu the answer will likely be something like 'I don't do that.' or 'That's not my business.'
For your sake, I'll ask my boss tomorrow about what you would have to do to have that happen. So I'll get back to you tomorrow.
