27-year-old Akane is an ethics teacher at the school Haneko and her friends attend. She’s generally respected by her coworkers, but still finds it difficult to be taken seriously, because she’s barely 4 1/2 feet tall. Being so much shorter than all of her own students is an inconvenience and can be a bit embarrassing at times, but usually she doesn’t let it get to her. Even with all the struggles she faces, she loves her job and her students and works hard to be a respectable teacher. Catch her off the job, of course, and she can seem like a different person, often because she’s prone to heavy drinking. Her love of alcohol plus her short height means she gets very drunk very quickly, and the amount she consumes frequently leads to one incredibly bloated bat, and it isn’t uncommon to see her waddling around, swollen and creaking like a balloon!
