Chapter 1: Finding a Human
Alfonzo yawned from his long day of school. He was thinking about the literature review he had to write when he saw a hooded figure running from some bushes. Suspicious he followed the figure. "Hey, what are you sneaking around for?"
The hooded figure tripped on a rock. The blue fox grabbed the hood and yanked it off, thinking it was a student up to no good. Instead he found a creature with dark brown hair, it was mostly bald with pale skin. It's eyes were grey. "A human!" Alfonzo gasped with excitement.
"Shoot!" the human boy cried out.
Alfonzo leaped on the human and held him down. "You can't just go strolling and sneaking around in broad daylight." Alfonzo warned. "The animal people here fear humans. If you follow me, I'll keep you safe. The last thing you wouldn't want is the government taking you away to get dissected in labs."
"I'm used to getting experimented on." the human replied.
"I'll take you to my dorm. You'll be safe there where no one will find you. I have questions to ask you."
"I don't have much of a choice, do I?" the human answered.
Alfonzo took him to his dorm and locked the door. "I'll introduce you to my friend later when he arrives." the fox replied. "For my first question, what's your name."
"It's Drake." the human answered.
"My name is Alfonzo." the fox replied. "What's your age?"
Drake put his finger to his chin, thinking. "I think I'm fifty or sixty."
Alfonzo's jaw dropped. "You like like your around twenty."
"That's because I've been involved in secret time travel experiments. Whenever I time-travel, I seem to age faster so they use age progression technology to make me the age I started out as."
"So you work with scientists on Gaia."
"No, I was kidnapped by scientists. We Earth humans call our planet Earth but some people do call it Gaia." Drake replied.
"How did you get here?" Alfonzo asked.
"I ran away through an artificial stargate and hoped for the best." Drake replied. I would rather die free than in the hands of the secret space program."
"Does your family miss you?" Alfonzo asked.
"The SSP wiped the memories and records of me so nobody knows I exist." Drake replied. "The SSP scientists do that to all those they want to keep." Drake's stomach growled.
"Here, have this apple." Alfonzo handed Drake the fruit.
"I am sorry about what happened to you." Alfonzo said. "Has anyone else seen you besides me?"
"A raccoon doing here laundry. That's where I stole the hoody." Drake removed the hoody revealing a grey military uniform.
"Maybe you should rest for now." Alfonzo said. I'll wake you up when my friend Gus comes over." Alfonzo replied.
"Are you sure he won't freak and call the cops or something?" Drake asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm sure." Alfonzo replied. He showed Drake his bed and the human crashed. Alfonzo heard Drake snoring. "I have a human in my dorm!" he squealed excitedly. "I can't wait till Gus returns."
