This is a riff on the 90's trend of "Babes and Monsters": ...a... a.. ...babe and a monster. In the 90's it was the other kind of babe. You know... a (whispers) "girlular one!"
The big guy is a alligator who was mutated with polar bear DNA to produce the "ultimate killing machine". But the big guy broke out of the lab and found the little guy. The little guy somehow keeps the big guy in check and help hims direct his rage. Pheremones or something... And he's more than a little "rip-off of 'rhymes with Barley Finn'!"
