I'd spent a good long time preparing for this dungeon. Training to defeat any monster, to evade any trap, to solve any puzzle. I had excellent armor, tools and a deadly sharp sword. I was ready... Except in that I'd completely forgotten to bring any food.

I couldn't be THAT much of a problem, I figgured. After all, diggles were said to be common here, and their eggs were tasty once cooked right. In the third chamber I cleared out, I found a diggle nest, just around lunchtime, to boot! I eagerly plucked the eggs from the nests and set about to cooking one up.

Unfortunately, I was far too impatient, my grumbling stomach getting the best of me. I didn't boil the egg quite long enough, but a bit of an off taste didn't make me stop as I ate it. Minutes later however, I realized my mistake, as my stomach felt bloated, and my clothes started to get loose.

Soon I was too weak to hold my weapon, too small to wear my armor or clothes... I stumbled over the floor to a puddle, and looked down to see my pudgy yellow form and drill like beak... Looking about nervously, I tried to remember where that diggle nest had been...

I'd be needing it.
