Here is a hook rack doohicky I made after seeing something similar on ebay for 160 dollars and I thought to myself "I'm not buying that."
So I made one instead with the intent to organize the buckets that hang from my rafters onto one set of hooks to free up space for more stuff to hang up there.
The straps of flat stock that were made into the frame came from an old piece of fence pipe that I stripped the galvanization off with hydrochloric acid and then forged into a flat piece of bar.
I marked with a similar straight piece of flat stock a suitable width to go by and took the angle grinder and cut off the two ends that were the folds near the weld seam and the other side of the pipe, thus giving me two identical pieces of flat bar.
The hooks were made from the existing strap material as well as a length a reign from a failed pair of tongs. The rivets are sections of duplex nails that I cut to length.
In the middle of drilling the first hole the power went out so I went ahead and drilled the rest by hand.
