9 Months later, and I still love this pic as much as the day you posted it! This really kickstarted my confidence in drawing; now I've been noticeably improving picture-to-picture.
I'm forever grateful to you, dude. You have no idea how much you helped me out. *hugs* Thank you sooo much! ;3

D'aaaaaaaaaaaw! That means oodles and bunches to me, dude! ^^ I'm really glad I could build your confidence with it. And watching the progress itself build from piece to piece is always fun to see. :3
You're very welcome. I'm just happy I could a nudge towards art making for you. I think that's amazing. *hugs back* Art! ART forever MOAR!!!! x3

Just like how this pic means a TON to me! ;3 But yeah, I've been drawing for my entire life (a whole 16 years, ooooooh!), and I've never improved, or drawn, as fast as I have been since this pic, nor have I ever had as much motivation to draw; it's almost scaring me! X3
Lolz, you didn't just nudge me in the right direction, you punched me! X3 I'll definitely have to make you a thank you pic one of these days! ;3
By the way, you use Photoshop, right?

D'aaaaaw. x3 Well I'm glad it means as much as it does for ya. I certainly wish I'd been drawing for much longer. I've only been drawing for two years. But, I'd say you truly have found something you love. And when your heart is in it the improvement is staggering.
Well BAM! Glad I forcefully put you on the path to arts. xD And awwww, you don't has to.
Eyup, I sure do.

Wow, you've really only been doing for that little of time?! Daaaaamn! I expected waaaay longer! lol You never cease to amaze me, that's why you're my favorite artist. X3
Having an OC that you're actually proud of REALLY helps, too; which if it wasn't for you, he'd never exist, and I would've never improved!
Nah, I insist! It's the least I could do. =3
Heheheh, cool! That's what I've been using! - I found both CS4 and CS5 online for free. X3

Yup, just two years. I feel like I'm so behind everyone else though. Art school houses some pretty talented people.
Well I'm glad I encouraged you to make an OC you truly like ^^
And okkie then ^^
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. CS5 is what I use. I need to see about getting after effects sometime soon. I'd like to play around with animated some of my work.

lol If you're up for a slight challenge that in the end prevent you from wasting tons of money on photoshop, here's a way you can get After Effects for free: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkF7Xm-fh1E&feature=related
Heheheh, I haven't payed a cent for anything downloadable in the past 4 years! Hacking ftw! X3

Wow... That's all I have to say. Yeah, but your art is great in it's own style. Other than the total adorableness that you draw, I love those trippy black and white pics you submit every once in a while. X3
Heheheh, I love Buddy, he's the only thing I've ever really been able to draw that wasn't an inanimate object. lol I've won art fair awards for my digitally-drawn indoor scenery shots, but I've never been able to draw anything living before now, which is why I'm so ecstatic about it. =3
lol I pretty much still just use CS4, I haven't really gotten used to CS5 yet, as I have to retrace my sketches with my mouse, since I don't have a tablet.
Hahaha, I'd love to see your work animated! It's always reminded me of Nickelodeon back when I was little. X3

D'aaaaaaaaaaw. Well thanks, dude. ^^ That means oh so much to me. :3 And zomg I love making those photos! The dark room is such a peaceful place for me and making those images is super easy. Plus I like the fact that I only have some idea how the photos will turn out, the rest is a surprise.
That's so awesome! =D See, you've got the talents my man. I much prefer drawing organic forms to inanimate ones. That's just me tho. I love animals...ok and urban city stuff is fun to draw to I suppose. xD
Oh gosh. I can't even imagine doing that. You need to get yourself a tablet, yo. You could always do a live trace in illustrator if you have that program. You know you could also just ink your sketch, scan that in, and then color under it in Photoshop. :3 I really like how that sort of thing looks. Plus it'd save you from doing painstaking mouse work for the lineart.
Well I guess that's where I pull from when I think about drawing things. But yeahhhhhhh x3 I really like your work tho. It has a very nice essence of fun in it. :3

You're welcome! ;3 Yeah, and the end result is always really cool looking!
I love animals, too (especially foxes), and yeah, drawing urban stuff is cool, but what's the point of you can't draw anything to inhabit the scenery? I totally prefer drawing living things (especially now that I can, thanks again! X3 ), it's a lot more fun! ;3
LOL Yeah, it's pretty bad, but you get used to it after a while; I still totally need to get a tablet, though. X3 Hehehehh, another inconvenience - I can't scan stuff onto my computer because I can't find the software for my scanner, I've been using my camera for the past 8 months! rofl
Heheheh, I miss when nickelodeon was like that. I guess that's another reason I like your art so much; it reminds me of my childhood. X3 Oh, thank you so much! You have no idea how much that means to me, coming from you! =3
lol I need to get more pictures uploaded; I don't want people to think those pictures I made for Lance and Saxon are the only things I draw; though, granted, it is a good portion. X3

Nah I totally understand. You need a good balance of both scenery and figure. So glad you're able to draw organic things now, bud! That's awesome ^^
Well if you did mouse work for a while I'm sure eventually you'd get decent at it *shudders at the thought* And zomg I feel your pain, dude! I had a terrible scanner last semester so I didn't even both with it. I had to present my sketches for projects digitally though so I defaulted to my camera like you. It's actually not a bad route to go. xD Came in handy anyway.
Aww that's awesome :3 I'm glad I can be a tazo for those memories. The only thing I watch on nickelodeon anymore is the avatar last airbender. I'm sooooooooo obsessed with that show right now. xP The legend of Korra is what's on there now though, and it's just as amazing.
Lol, well make sure you get around to posting your artz. Even though I'm so guilty of letting everything build up on my computer before posting anything.
Gah, so glad school is almost out! Cx

Yeah, drawing's like a whole new world for me now that I can draw both. :3
Heheheheh having really big pictures helps a lot, it makes it so all the little scribbles don't show up! lol Yeah, using a camera is definitely handy... if you have a tripod; otherwise I can't hold it still enough for it not to blur. X3
Haha, I remember when that show first came out.. I was like, 8 at the time! Can't say I've heard of that second one; I haven't had cable in about a year, so I've been watching everything online. X3
lol I'd upload pics constantly if the coloring process wasn't such a hassle! X3 By the way, I've already started making a pic for you; I'm a little worried about how it's gonna look, though, because, you know, I'm making it for you. X3
Hehehehe, I'm homeschooled, so I haven't had to worry about summer vactation in 2 years!

Oh really? My camera doesn't have a blur problem. Although I do have a tripod for when I do time lapse work.
Well if you're interested at all, on nickelodeon's website they posted the first two episodes AND I just found out they posted the third! So hopefully the entire season is going to end up online :3 I don't have cable either. No point when you can watch most everything online.
You could always just upload the lineart first. x3 And then wait to color it when you get around to it. Gah! You so need a tablet, bro!! And eeeeeeeee! I am the excite to see it! ^_^ I wouldn't worry about how it looks, yo. Just make sure you have fun with it :3
Oy! I always forget about that! So where are you at in your homeschooling? I'm so uninformed over homeschooling but what grade level are you at? XP

Yeah, I just use a Pentax H90, so it doesn't have the best low-light performance (which I gotta use, or else the outlines will reflect light and screw it all up); though I didn't buy the camera for that reason, so I can't really hold it against it. X3
Cool! I'll have to check it out. Heheheheh, you do it too, eh? Well, if you haven't heard of Veetle or Project Free TV already, those websites are great for finding just about everything to watch.
Heheheh, I try not to do that because my sketches always look really bad before I color them; my recent frontal-angled pic was a surprising exception to that. Heheheh, okay! Just be warned, they may look a little bit taller. X3
Haha, I pretty much don't really have to do anything; they had me in special ed for "behavioral problems" (I didn't get along with the teachers), so just about anything I do online is more productive and stimulating than sitting in a class with a bunch of degenerate kids my age who can hardly spell "cat."
I'm technically in grade 11, but since I don't have to really do anything, I haven't looked at a work page in 2 years; yet I can still pass the 3 year evaluation tests at the grade level in which I am supposed to be preforming with flying colors. Heheheheh, idiots. X3
lol Needless to say, the schools are horrible around here. Obviously you can tell that there's nothing wrong with me... well... nothing bad enough to get stuck in special ed, that is. X3

Oy, well that's gotta be a pain. I've got an older pentax myself (one that shoots rolls of film) and then my Canon 60D. Tis mah baby x3 Honestly I also super love my pinhole camera I made. Take photos that rival my expensive one and it's only a box with a hole in it.
Coolio. And sweetness! I'll give them a look see. Just been going off of Hulu and Netflix which my girlfriend got recently. That's awesome though, I'll certainly use those :3
Aw well, do what works for youuuuuuuu. ^^ It's funny you say that. Honestly I've been wanting to go back and redraw them lately, but in a more elongated style. Just to see how it looks.
Well the public schools in America are pretty much shit. I went to a private high school and honestly that's where things picked up for me. I can certainly see how online courses would be a much better option. LOL, look at you beating the system! xD Kudos, dude. Most of the shit you learn I just don't see applied in everyday life honestly...although I do go to art school which isn't considered by some as "real" school soooooooo yeahhhhhhhhh. xD
Dude, you're one of the best people I talk to online. Which is wonderful. For one, your grammar is immaculate and I greatly appreciate that. Cx Second, you have a pretty good view on things and have a great source of knowledge in a lot of areas. Where I struggle talking with others about things you just understand. Tis very nice and refreshing. ...and now you sound like a beverage =P

Yeah, but my tripod helps immensely. Cool! I have an old Time-Life magazine camera that I found in an abandoned house with film still in it.. gotta get it developed. X3 Oh, nice! I bet that camera cost big bucks! Heheheh, cool! I didn't know you could make such a thing; does it use film, or does the picture develop inside it like the really old ones?
My pride-and-joy is my Sony Handycam DCR-SX41; 60X optical zoom with a wide angle lens, 180° rotating touchscreen, and over an hour-and-a-half of internal memory without the 4GB memory card that I have in it. Takes the best video out of any camera I've ever had, and the microphone can actually hold up to concert music without distorting.
They're actually better than Hulu; they don't have commercials! I prefer it to TV now. X3
ROFL Wow, then that's perfect! You can expect to see it in the next couple days; I'll keep ya updated.
Yeah, I bet! There's a lot higher quality of people at private schools, as opposed to the regular ones; not to mention the B.O.C.E.S. classes, like what they had me in. Hahahaha, yeah, like who EVER uses algebra after school? It's not like everyone is gonna become a scientist when they graduate (especially not the kids I went to class with! X3 ). This way I can learn what I want to learn, instead of the totally redundant classes they want me to learn.
Wow, thank you sooo much! I've always excelled at English (and computers, for that matter), but sadly enough, it didn't really start to improve until after I stopped going to school. I've always hated when people talk like "u r gr8" on here, it's annoying as hell; therefore I didn't want to be a hypocrite, so I taught myself to fluently spell and punctuate, and typos just plain bug the hell out of me (to the point of deleting and retyping a comment if there's still a typo after posing), so I always read my comments several times before posting. I'm also self-taught at typing, the programs at school were way to complicated, and I found that trying to keep up with conversations in IMs and stuff really helped speed up my typing.
I also have plenty of free time to research stuff now that I'm not in school anymore, so if it interests me, I've read up on it. With everything that I know would you believe that I'm only 16? X3
Heheheheheh, one might say I'm like a Dr. Pepper: smooth and satisfying! ROFL
AAAH, LONG COMMENT!!! MUST..... BREATHE!!!! SO MANY PARAGRAPHS!!! It's like we're starting to right novels to each other! X3

Well tripods certainly come in handy. And, dude, that's super awesome ^^ You got lucky there, bro! I certainly love my camera but it did cost a lot. But most everything does anymore so...yeah. xD The pinhole just uses paper film. But it's a one photo thing and then the film inside needs to get developed or at least stored somewhere where light won't get to it. Tis how I make those black and white images you mentioned.
WOW O_O I'm thoroughly impressed. Those are some incredible specs. I definitely envy your incredible zoom and high quality microphone.
Awesome! Man I can't stand tv or even radio for that matter anymore. The ads just really bother me anymore for some reason. xP
That's one aspect about my school I really enjoy. The fact that everything is art oriented and I don't have to waste time taking general ed classes I won't care about/use is super nice. And no math classes is a big bonus too, lol. Cx
My biggest pet peeve is when people use the wrong from of there/their/or they're and that sort of crap. Or even just obviously incorrectly spelling simple words and stuff. Probably makes me sound like a pompous jerk or something but it just really bugs me. I SO commend you for teaching yourself to type. If I hadn't had a class for it I don't know that it would have been easy for me to just set myself down and learn it. But again, you have a very nice command of the language. :3
I'd certainly say you're smarter than the average 16 year old xD That's great that you have the time and the desire to read up on stuff that interests you. Any plans on what you'd like to do career wise? If my art thing doesn't work out I'm thinking stripper. xD
Oh ho ho! You're just like a melting pot for all those different flavors!
Haha! Yes indeeds. We need a title for this pretty novel. =P
