Here's a closer look at officer Gill, the policeman who just showed up in Beartram. It's the only publically available photo I could find of him: his "Mr. September" page from the Policeman's Union's Charity Calendar...

To be PERFECTLY clear about the shoot: it was always supposed to be an appropriately clothed bit of harmless fun. The director of the shoot and the editor of the calender repeatedly told officer Gill to "put some damn clothes on, GILL!".

But no. He showed up as shown, struck a pose, inspected the single take, proclaimed "NAILED IT!" and swanned out. With the director screaming after him, "For god's sake, Gill, at least put on some damn pants!!!"

The calendar was not a big hit. It's unclear if September was the "hottest" month. There are strong arguments on both sides from unexpected quarters. Like Mrs. Billsby of the Catholic Social Union (publically anti, privately VERY pro) and the Unitarian Gay Mens Choir (50% anti). There will never be another calender. Gill's name is raised as a reason why.

(Why "Mr. September"? I tried to pick the least "sexy" month for him. He's not well liked.)
