She assumed a battle stance, telling me not to hold back. I didn't know what she was doing, but I readied myself. She used her power to dash at me almost too fast even for my heightened senses. Almost, as I managed to dodge by dashing myself at the last second.

I saw a quick smirk come from X0-C3 before she flipped around, breaking apart her stone and launched the shards towards me. I dashed dodging each one. Then, she broke the landscape around even further, making harder and harder to gain decent footing. All the while, she was raised high into the sky by a pillar, firing down more shards of energy. I dashed around, trying to dodge each one, but they were coming in faster and faster. It was at this moment I noticed two things.

Firstly, I was getting faster too. Gradually, but I did. Secondly, the new pillars she made in this fight, they were not irregular. They had a stepped pattern leading up to X0-C3, It looked intentional but wasn't fully sure yet...

Not knowing if it was what she intended, or if it was bait, I found myself in a position where the only way to escape a direct hit was to go upwards. So praying to whatever fucked up God was out there, I jumped hoping my abilities carried over here. And they did.

I landed on an elevated pillar maybe only 10ft up, but it was a sizable leap. So she was trying to draw me up.

I dashed, leaped, hopped, and climbed my way up, dodging X0-C3's volleys as I went.

And as I got closer, the less time I had to react to each attack, meaning I had to move even faster. And when I finally reached the same platform as X0-C3, I let out a massive paralyzing pulse. Hitting her dead-on.
