Featuring Swallow, a safe pred from the Forest. He's a derpy fox that's terrible at interacting with prey, but means well (and is ultimately pretty harmless :3)

Some prey know he's safe, but no, Swallow doesn't generally inform them X3
Swallow is bad at communicating with prey and a lot of what he interprets as affectionate and friendly, they interpret as really creepy. He's pure puppy brain and he has a hard time internalizing that they're frightened of him at all. He also has a bad habit of eating mice and carrying them around before letting them out, which can sometimes be really distressing for them. So some prey are scared of him, but also news tends to travel fast with prey in the Forest because they're all safer if they're all well-informed about preds who are around. So a lot of prey have realized he's kind of harmless (even if they don't know him well) but still just don't like him, and are much more likely to scratch him up or bite him if he gets too close, rather than the other way around.
Swallow has an interesting relationship with bunny prey where he's both very nervous around them (because of how often they've attacked him) and also completely enamored with them and can't keep himself from stalking them around and annoying them and doing pred things. He rarely eats one, not because he wouldn't ever want to (even if he would let them out) but because they'd beat the shit out of him if ever tried X3
