Oh well... has been quite a while i had this one in my backlog.
I really wanted to make a small story to join it... as it is sort of the introduction for Faeris. Their first time, well... "waking up", so to speak. I will detail more what happened before this eventually. But i do consider them to be really good as new at this moment !
A creature born of unfortunate circumstances, that needs to build up a new life and identity based and the few things that are left of their previous one, is what i had in mind.

And i'm so happy with how this art came out, the artist did an amazing work once again. <3
Both for the light, the environment, and just how Faeris is made and the expression of shock, i love it all !

I want to... sleep... a little longer... I feel... ahh, light... Hrrr, the sun is so pleasant...
Aaahh......

Mf... I just want to... melt away, here… So comfortable…

*... Plop... Plop...*

“Hmm... hmm... Nrgh… ?’”

*... Plop... Plop... Plop*

My arm... my... tail? I can't feel them... what am I... ?

I slowly open my eyes... The light dazzles me so intensely that I can't see anything clearly... and I lean defensively to one side, putting my left arm in front of me. I barely manage to catch myself before falling… !

... Nggh- ACKH ! M-my eyes ! E-everything is blurry... agh... !

...

I see... green... grass... bushes... B-blue... water... the sky…
Orange... orange... sand... desert... hmm…

“... Me ? Huh... My arm ? What's wrong with it... why is it... No... NO !”

*Drip… drip… !*

"I'm... I'm melting… ! What's happening to me ? Ah... G-give me some air... aaahh…
... Sit down... Breathe in... Breathe out... Aaahh... Pfff..."

My whole body is dripping with a strange substance. I feel like I'm... ahh... losing shape…
I feel weak... I need help... Aaahh......

B-but who ? ... And where ?...
Where am I?

“... WHO AM I ?!”

Gah... I'm melting... I-I can't... end up like this, without having any idea where I came from, eh? N-no... b-breathe... I can slow it down... I can feel it...

My own face is starting to melt... I'm holding myself up with my hands, which are partly going through it...
I try to get up, but stagger and stumble heavily in the oasis! It's... so much cooler... and pleasant...

My body, it's... better. I think. I-I can... hold on... a little...

Help. Something. Someone...

“... Help... H... help...”

One step... then another... Walking is... difficult...

So I keep going. One step after another, straight ahead... driven by some kind of instinct that guides me in that direction... As if I were going to find... something ? Someone...

My body leaks drop by drop, losing some of its colour as it becomes transparent. A trail of orange slime remains behind me. The shifting and dripping of my body only gives the strange look of an... oozing kobold... Is what comes to mind.

Is that... me ? Kobold... sure sounds familiar...
