I know you had a lot of trouble with this background but the end result is so worth it. There's a great deal of atmosphere present in this picture. The fireflies, the dark foreboding forest, the impressive lighting bouncing off of the trees due to the fire.

The characters themselves are drawn wonderfully of course, each looks unique and has a different personality trait on display.

All in all, very well done piece!

Final Fantasy-based, but you know...Now that you mention it. o_o

You know, for freaking out about the background. You did AMAZING with it.
I'm not going to link a previous picture of yours, but with forest scenes they seem blotchy and stagnant. But here the shadowed trees in the background, the detailing of the leaves (which I commend you for, btw), the shading, the atmosphere of the fire...you've created an environment RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES how cool is that 8D
And, since I just got back from camping, all these separate activities now seem appropriate, even though they are distant. But that's what one does in a campsite, really :U
also, that fire is so cute BWA <3 I'm sorry, but it is.

uhm. The drinking part is right o_o;
and depends where you camp. I'm sure if you're camping in a state park and decide to run around naked, a family or two might have a problem with that.
