I know he makes wisecracks about me behind my back. I also know he's still smoking, because believe it or not I can smell it on him amid all the other odors baked into his fur.
Well, as long as he keeps it out of earshot (and noseshot).
That reminds me. He still thinks I didn't have eyes on him that day he was necking with that otter on the back 40. I didn't say anything at the time because I knew he'd be embarrassed.
I don't do embarrassment. I do operant conditioning.
The next time he invites a "guest" onto my property without permission I'll have a surprise waiting for them—two surprises, actually.
I can rig up an otter chassis just as easily as a ferret one.
