Incidental Pack: The Incredible Zephyn
Name: Zephyn
Lore Origin: Some kid got a balloon dog from the circus and developed a childhood imaginary friend from there
Actual Origin: Snout Looey Snout Looey Snout Looey Snout Looey (Dandy's World)
Appearance: An anthropomorphic blue balloon dog. Each limb of theirs is rather stubby, and they do have pink paw pads. Their ears and tail are a slightly darker shade of blue than the rest of their body. Tail also ends in a narrower point, but still soft. Eyes are wide, with black pie-cut pupils. Tends to wear a gray vest, pink bow, and a stupid grin. Also, their nose ends with the lip/bead/whatever of a balloon.
Description: Step right up, ladies, gentlemen, and all who aren't covered in those first to categories based on gender, class, or politeness. Zephyn has arrived, live in your community. This (admittedly dime-a-dozen but still beloved) lil' scamp is sure to make you as happy as they are with their wonderful performances. All they wanna do is give a smile to the whole world, so stop on down and make both of your days.
Story: As an imaginary friend who never had a story to begin with, they arrived at Amalgamma when their owner came to pass. Now they're free to do whatever they'd want, and spreading smiles through the art of performance is their number one desire.
Trivia:
*Their name is just the word "Zephyr" with a letter misplaced.
*My use of them uses they/them.
*They can survive being popped and/or deflated. However, they are almost completely helpless until they're reinflated. They can be "killed" by other means, though.
*You can probably blow in their nose and inflate a currently inflated Zephyn, but that would cause a tummy ache (and probably have a risk of popping them).
*They are proficient in the calliope... if someone adjusted it to account for them being extremely lightweight.
*They weigh like, ten pounds. They can try to force themselves to be heavier by replacing air with stuff like water, but it really messes with their movement.
*They see their bonded "owner" as a sibling. After arriving in Amalgamma and seeing Zephyn alive and well, she started seeing them in the same way.
*They often visit and perform for psych wards. They remember when their master was scared when she had to visit one, and they don't want anyone to feel the same way she felt so long ago. They are incredibly popular, and some patients grew to be some of their afterlifelong friends.
