Kane heard rumors of a dragon's bounty so when Kane decides to hunt this dragon for gold, he gets more than what he expected.

The challenge was supposed to be simple for a certain overweighted deer. A challenge that would be rewarding to him for a lifeline. Kane, a fat chocolate and vanilla furred deer with hardened hooves for his hands and feet, sharp antlers on top of his head, thick thighs, bloated moobs, a soft blobby gut, all that’s covered in a loose purple mage robes, a metal staff in his hoof, a necklace around his furry neck, and a golden earring on one of his floppy ears. Kane had heard rumors of a large dangerous dragon roaming in the mountains North of the village of Kalm, a small town he lives in. Kane doesn’t do much for a living, lazing around while making spells and potions as he’s literal job is being a mage. He’s been traveling for miles just to get to this so-called dragon’s lair. Sometimes he wishes that he brought food with him, a lot of food in fact.
The snowy trail doesn’t do much to help him find an entrance, with a snowstorm covering his vision almost. “Brrrrr…” He shivers. “Stupid….snow!” The deer looks around for any sign of shelter, maybe a cave that he can stay in until the storm clears. Covering his robes around him, he manages to find himself a nice enlarged cave to enter. “Finally…” He says with a sigh of relief, rushing into the cave without thinking what could be lurking inside. It’s dark and damp, though he could see a lot better than being outside. It wasn’t any problem for him as he lights up his staff like a torch as it brightens the cave. It was a good thing he did bring it along with him.
It was at this point he noticed that this cave wasn't as short as he expected it to be, it led down a path for him to follow. Of course, he knew that he wasn’t going to stand here for hours waiting for the snow to die down without food. The best thing he can do at the moment is to see where this cave leads him to. Using the light source in his staff, he walks. It doesn’t creep him out as he’s been through worse. Of course with his belly grumbling for food, he knows it’ll be an awful experience. “Damn….stupid baker not giving me enough bread.” He was the mage of the village, he fought for their protection. So why don’t people give him more than he needs? As he keeps on walking, he notices a strange light at the end of the cave, a bright light but not enough to tell him he’s outside again. It was more dim-litted, indoors possibly.
Curious enough, paces himself faster to the light, hoping that whatever was on the other side had to be good. And surely enough, it’s not what he expected at all. From where he’s standing, he can only see mounds and mounds of gold in an area larger than his town, Kalm. “Whoa….” He doesn’t know anyone that would hoard all of this gold, no king that ever lived with it. Unless…. It’s at this point he realizes that this wasn’t just any place filled with gold, this was the dragon’s lair. There were rumors of dragons guarding gold like their life depended on it. “I finally found it!” He cheers with excitement before shutting himself up not to wake any sleeping dragons, or any that he can spot. Kane explores around, hoping to find and slain this dragon so he can grab the reward. But then again, with all of this gold, why would he need to kill a dragon when he can steal its collection? “There has to be millions worth of gold here.” Or more depending how long this room is.
Getting to the center of the cavern, he can’t seem to find a dragon anywhere. “Hello?” He calls out stupidly as if he’s wanting this creature to find him. Yet only his echo can be heard around, no roars or stomps. “Huh….weird.” Was there even a dragon? Is it on vacation? He’s never heard of one on a vacation before so that would be out of the window. If there is no dragon for him to kill, what’s stopping him from taking the gold? He could lie about killing the dragon or at least say that he can’t find its hideout. After all, if no one knows about this place, he can keep it to himself and become the richest mage in the world.
With a smirk on his face, he uses his staff to manifest a large clothed sack. As it drops in front of him, he picks it up with his hoof and starts with the first mound of gold he puts his sights on. He bends his knees down and cups up a pound of gold in his hooves before stuffing it in the bag. “Hehe, I’m going to be so rich!” He can already imagine himself in a wealthy castle, filled with foods that could feed a dozen towns, all for himself. As he steals the pounds of gold, something strange stirs in Kane’s head. Whispers upon whispers throughout his mind. The deer tries to ignore them, assuming they’re from the wind inside the large cavern. But they get louder the more he fills the bag of gold.
The more he did take the gold, the more these whispers were affecting his mind. He started to think of how people treated him at the village, how they never saw him as a hero nor a worthy mage. It makes him growl a bit to the side. He was important to them, he knew that for a fact. Kane knew that he was better than anyone in that village, no one had the power like he does now. “Grrrr! They think I’m not important huh?” The more he keeps thinking negatively, the more his anger drives in. “I don’t need them. Hell, I don’t need anyone!” He roars as suddenly something strange was happening to him. He’s oblivious to it but it looks as if he was gaining weight, more likely around his backside with his ass pushed outwards under the rope.
The mage kept on filling the bag as it got heavier by the second. His lust for greed drives him to pile the gold quickly into the bag, as if someone is giving him or orders. He fills the bag up to the limit and ties it up so none spills out. As he stands up, he almost loses his balance with his fat ass weighing him down. “I need more gold.” Like an addiction, he manifests another clothed bag. He goes for a second round, grabbing the gold by the hoovefuls and puts it in the bag. Though again, his body begins to change once more. This time it was his belly that swells, expanding out of his robes like he’s been eating twice the amount of food since the trip.
It wasn’t all, his brown and white fur on the front of his belly was retracting into his skin and replacing it with hardened scales that would defend his torso from any flying arrows or sharp swords. The colors were different too as they’re now golden like the coins he’s picking up. His rope couldn’t contain his belly if Kane knew what was going on with his body. Yet, the voices in his head and the thoughts about his own ego distracts him. The deer’s ass is about the size of two large watermelons with his belly as large as a sack of potatoes. His thighs fattened up, wide for him and spread them out further without himself even knowing about his sudden weight gain.
Yet the deer focuses on the gold and only the gold. “All mine. This will be all mine!” He says with a maniacal laugher in his tone. With his lower legs getting bigger too, his walk speed slows down with some waddling each time he goes from one spot to another. He almost looked pear shaped as well with an ass bigger than his belly, or maybe the same size since his belly seems to catch up pretty quickly. His fur from his legs retracts too with purple scales taking over. His hooves elongated and spread out, turning softer with fat and scaly skin with sharp claws that scratch the rocky ground.
His tail, once a small fluffy cotton tail, stretches out widely and droops down to the floor instantly. It was the thump of a large plumpy tail that caught his attention, startling him. “What!?” He turns around below him, in grave shock once he sees what has become of his tail. “My….tail?” He confusedly says, grabbing it with his hand which he now realizes it’s not a hoove anymore but rather a fat scaly hand with claws just like his feet. Soon he grows worried once he gets a good look at his body, noticing the changes that appear around him. “W-What’s happening to me!?” He whimpers, dropping the bag down onto the ground with coins spilling out like grains of rice and his staff as well. Kane is still getting wider with his robe getting tight around his body. His arms feel weighted down as he can see the sleeves thinning out and stretching. “Why am I getting fat!?” He’s getting the idea that those coins weren’t there to be stolen.
That’s when he notices that he’s been getting taller too while looking around the mounds of gold to see them lowering downward. Or at least himself going upwards. It was like he was flying but yet he can still feel the ground. Afraid of his own safety, he tries his best to forget about the gold this instant and waddle his way back to where he came from. He sees the cave entrance ahead, not far from where he started to take the gold. His footsteps were nothing but loud thumps with his belly rolls jigging up and down. His ass shaking side to side with it sloshing like a water balloon. He pants heavily, wheezing in fact as movement wasn’t his thing anymore. Unfortunately for him, his belly keeps him from going anywhere as he flops down onto the ground. “Oof!” Realizing that he can’t walk on his two legs anymore, he lifts himself up with both his fat legs and his pudgy arms, he goes on all fours like a feral dragon would.
Meanwhile, his robe can’t stay on his back for very long as tear marks form around the sleeves and the center with the sound of the fabric ripping apart slowly. His neck widens and stretches out by inches and pounds with his face gaining fatter cheeks and double chins. Not only that, his fur keeps transforming into purple-like scales with a wider snout and sharp teeth. His tongue slithers out like a snake, licking his lips as if he had crumbs stained on his lips. His sharp antlers form into thick regal horns between his ears which also changes with height, getting taller to say the least. “So….heavy….so….fat..” He pants with each word that comes out of his mouth.
[SHRIIP!] The robes finally have enough as it splits apart and the sleeves burst into pieces. As it slides off Kane’s back, golden-scaly wings appear as they extend and flap slowly. And there is when his transformation finishes, once Kane is nothing but an overweighted dragon. “I feel…..powerful!” His mood changes from being afraid of his transformation to fully confident and demanding. “I feel like me!” He roars with pride, his voice echoing louder in the cavern. He stops walking and turns around to where he dropped his bags and staff. With a smirk on his face, he begins to waddle back. “I don’t need to leave. The gold is calling for my name.” Soon, he looked more like a dragon than a deer. A thirteen feet tall dragon with a belly that grinds against the ground, legs that could compete against tree logs, a tail that drags itself on the ground as it sways side to side, and a scaly body that can be protected by anything that comes in his path.
The dragon sits on the ground, picking up his small staff with two of his fat fingers and out of nowhere, eats the staff like it was a snack of his own. Chewing it up into tiny pieces, he swallows it down and sticks out his tongue. “Mmmmm…tasty….” Suddenly his belly glows a bright purple beneath his golden stomach before it dies down. “Let’s see if this works.” He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, inflating his chest, as he soon manifests a larger bag, five times the size than the bags he used before. He grabs the bag with his fat dragon hands and uses his mouth to eat up the gold and spit it into the bag as he finds it easier than using his hands.
Though as he packs up the gold, another thought comes into his mind. Where would he go? He has all of this gold but nowhere to head off too, not even a palace that can accept dragons. Dragons have always been a common enemy, swore by the anthros to kill any dragons that come near them. “Hmmmm….” As he stops and drops the bag onto the ground, he wonders what he’ll do about that. He’s cocky to know that nothing can stop him but what would life mean if all he does is fight? He doesn’t want to be busy all the time. Kane wants to rest and be lazy.
Then he suddenly gets an idea of his own. This can be his new home, since no dragon has claimed it. “Hehehe…..perfect~” He says with a toothy grin on his face. “A home I can protect. A home I can admire my pride and worth.” It was just right for him, he belonged here. He rests his belly on the floor, snuggling his gold like a hoarder. Kane uses his tail to brush the gold towards himself. Yet as he rests there, it always bothers him that what he has now is not enough than his desires. He growls in anger, rage building up inside as he can’t stop thinking about his town always getting what they want but never what he wants. “I’ll get what I want. I’ll have it all!” He shouts on the top of his lungs, standing on his four legs again.
He flaps his wings as hard as he can, just enough for his feet to lift up from the ground. It’s strange how someone who recently transformed into a dragon has become a professional of flying. At the same time, he struggles to keep it up as his own weight tries to bring him down. He looks at the cave entrance and flies towards it before squeezing himself into it as if he assumed the cave could fit him. He struggles with his sides and belly rubbing against the walls. “Nothing can stop me!” He says out of pure narcissism. Once he’s out of his new home and into the snowstorm in which he could care less about, he scopes out the village, Kalm. A village that treated him unfairly. “I think it’s time for some payback.” He chuckles as he sets his eyes on his first target.
______________________________________________________________________________
Chaos erupts in the village of Kalm as people are panicking and hiding in their homes from the terrifying and dangerous fat dragon roaming around as he blasts fire around the area, making sure no one leaves the village. He lands in the center and roars with might, grabbing everyone’s attention. “Listen to me and listen well! I am Zenith, the wrath of fire! I came here to announce my arrival and soon your new leader! Kalm is now under my power and all who live here shall bow to me! Any who dare oppose me would suffer in my wrath! You will bring to me your crops, gold, animals, and your freedom for all belongs to me!” The dragon spokes, telling the villagers of his demands.
“If you fail to bring me these items, I’ll burn down your houses and eat you all!” He threatens. “Now bring me your food…now!” The dragon demands as he watches everyone in the village hurry into their homes and farms with wagons and baskets of food and gold, all for himself. They set it all in front of him, some begging for mercy as others stay silent. Only a smile appears on his face once he sees the enormous pile of ‘gifts’ in front of him. “You have done well my mortals. You’ll live for another day.” He leans his head down to devour the bread and corn they brought with them and gulps it down to his stomach. As for the gold, he uses a large sack he brought with him and stuffs it inside until it’s full and ready to be taken to his home.
Once the dragon is settled, he flies up into the air. He still struggles with his weight though he’ll get used to it the more he flies. He takes off into the sky, away from the village he now owns and into his home in the mountains. Some will say that Kane has failed to slain the dragon as others had a feeling otherwise. One would assume that they almost sounded like Kane to be exact but none would try to find out as they wouldn’t want to mess with a fire-breathing dragon.
