Recently I've been playing a Sylvernum-based Daggerheart campaign with fenris.svartulf (Both of us dming) with 3 players. It's been set in Wulfheim, obviously, and tons of fun really exploring how their setting works on the little scale. This artwork was made for the campaign.
* dragur is a term for a body of an animal or person resurrected by the curse within Wulfheim, all bodies must be burned, or they rise!
The party are villagers in a small village in Svartulf clan lands, during a wedding, the uncle of one of the party members was murdered by a Dragur-bear, and then it was properly killed by the party and burned, after that, they brought back the dead uncle, burned him and finished the wedding... Then a few weeks later, people began falling sick, that's not good!
After one of the party members was told by the village lord to speak to the leader of the fisherman about a missing fisherman, they found an old, mushroom and.... goop? covered cavern, the black, web-like substance across every surface. Eventually they discovered some ancient, oddly beautiful and translucent pillars, delving deeper they were attacked by a dragur - who turned out to be the missing fisherman, problem solved... right?
After going to explore the cavern, the group were attacked by what at first seemed like a pile of bones, but turned out to be several forsaken which promptly attacked the party, one of the party members quickly killed one exposing their weakness to fire! One of our party members nearly died, but in the end they killed all 3 of these monstrosities.
One of the things in the cavern was this carving, the runes too old for the party to understand, and none of them knew what the animals were beyond odd horses... right? :3
