Rather randomly, I've decided to upload my very first attempt at writing a furry story. It's in eleven parts, and contains no sex at all! At least, none that I remember.
Anyway, this was inspired by the 'Mage Wars' books by Mercedes Lackey, featuring the indomitable 'Black Gryphon', Skandranon.
I look back on this and cringe a bit; I think my writing style has really improved since those heady days of late December back in '99.

I actually really like this chapter. A tad lacking in the descriptions especially at the start. The two of them talking and snuggling would have done a lot for their interaction and relationship though the preening was a very, very nice touch. Despite that though, it sets up everything very nicely. There's the potential for character development, tension and everything within the first chapter.
