What first started inspired by Corruption of Champions and my headcanon that emotions are what guide magic, which was later molded into a clearer idea with how Darkest Dungeon handles stress, the idea of Cataplexy in my D&D game is a complete surrender to emotion as the character has a total meltdown that overrides all senses and rational though.
The 5 core emotions are: Affection, Fear, Joy Sorrow and Rage. Russel is certainly going through a lot right now.
