I'm going to try to go as often as I can. This was my first one since...05/04? other than a tiny snippet of the end of one in 06. I used to go all the time.

I actually would love to get into handling, but it seems most people are trying to push you into getting your own dog to show when you're my age. ~headdesk~

Oh nice! Yeah, I used to go alllll the time way back when, I was pretty high up in junior handling but I just lost my passion I guess. I rarely get to go anymore and it's sad!!

Ohhh that's bologna. If you have friends that show I'm sure they'd let you in the ring with one of their dogs sometimes. In fact I think it's better to practice with already trained dogs before getting your own!

I don't really know anyone who shows anymore, because when I did go, it was in South Florida and now I reside in OKC. And the one person who has offered to mentor is a ways away. So trying to go to more shows that I can actually make connections and friends. It's hard being out of the loop so long and at such a big show.

But....if I can find a KBD breeder who is willing to tell me whether or not Kohda stands a chance of getting points and if his previous owner does get his papers to me....UKC shows are sporadic, but I'll take what I can get. I have 'learned' and the Ibizan I did have when I was younger was my practice dog to train for that, just never had luck figuring out the ILP papers before I turned 18. >.<
