Name: Harmon Murasaki (formerly Mark Harumoto)
Species: Rubberhose fox (formerly a human)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Bio:
Harmon was once a shy, reclusive, aspiring Japanese-American human artist named Mark Harumoto who got transformed into a witty, wisecracking rubberhose toon fox after getting his hands on a bottle of powerful magical ink known as Iwerksium (named after Disney animator Ub Iwerks) that he used for drawing.
After his stunning transformation, he was given a giant paintbrush that when drawn on a flat surface, the creations he made will come to life. The magic paintbrush can also alter the appearance of any object or living being like a person into whatever his heart desires into a toony dragon or a mouse.
Abilities:
- Toon force/physics
- Able to stretch or contort his body
- Magical paintbrush that once drawn on a flat surface, it comes to life temporarily. Can also use his paintbrush to turn anyone or anything into whatever he thinks.
- Hammerspace
- Use his tail as a rag to wipe off paint
Weakness:
- Turpentine, acetone, or paint thinner. When ingested, he gains an allergic reaction that swells his body up like a balloon, turns his skin dark green with red spots all over it.
Artist's note:
This was a character I've always wanted to make, since I love the idea of an artist-themed superhero who is also a rubberhose toon.
Even though I have not played Epic Mickey before, that eventually became the basis for Harmon's magical paintbrush, however. The appearance and personality is based on the Warner Siblings, with a little bit of Sonic and Tails into the mix, and the glasses I thought would be a cute touch for an artist character. As for his clothing color palette, I mostly based on the Kids' WB! logo (especially on Harmon's "HM!" logo), since I thought it would be fitting for a toon.
