Hello everyone!
This is a commission for Multi, who asked me to turn a sketch he got during one of my streams into a finished illustration! So this lovely simple sketch now has gotten a little wider in scale and now has been turned into a full artpiece in a simple shaded style!
I actually quite enjoy drawing scenes at the beach and I feel like I always end up with some sort of different look for the background: A different time of day, different lighting situation, different colour scheme etc. and I quite enjoy that. here, I decided to go for warm shades for the sand but also for the sky, leaning into the evening mood with some purples and pinks in there to complement Multi's fur colours a little! I think it was quite a nice idea in contrast to perhaps a strong orange or blue instead. Overall, I feel like this artwork is nicely balanced in colours and I had a lot of fun working on the character, or should I say characters, too! There needs to be more love for different body types and I enjoy doing all sorts of different body proportions in my drawings, so having a lovely chubby belly in this piece was wholesome to do. And also: Crab friend^^
