Or, if it's a cartoon, you can walk perfectly without needing to adapt at all. Because they like to completely ignore how difficult it would be to learn how to do something as simple as walking when you're entire anatomy has changed. In fact, the only time I can think of that I've ever seen that even somewhat acknowledged was in Kingdom Hearts 2 when you go to the Pride Lands. And even then, it's only used for a perilous cut scene before you're able to move around without inhibition.
