Here is a kind of slime creatures that live in hot areas where they have access to sand. They are able to be in both fresh and salt water. Sometimes people put them on sandcastles as moving decorations, they don’t seem to mind this. These slimes love glitter and shiny things.

my gosh, the idea of decorating a sandcastle with these is so endearing.... watching them toddle around under the warm sunlight.
I would love to decorate a castle for them with lots of shiney coins and shells!
I feel the flat-posed laying one must be soaking up the sunlight absorbed into the hot sand....
