Even the great prince need some guidance. While his brother would be the best option as he is physically similar and have pretty much the same power and weapon, he is quite strict. Not something Vin like the most. So he turn to his guardian which is one of the oldest being on the world. She became his guardian since their mother tragically perished during a war between the Empire and The Middle Eastern Kingdoms by the hand of the Sun Gods. While his brother moved on from this tragedy, Vin became depressed and isolate from society for years. His brother tried so hard to recover his brother from this state but he failed as his approach is too harsh for him and came to conclusion to let him go and build the empire for himself.

Then this bat like being arrived, offering her service to get Vin back to his normal state so that he can rule the empire and defeat the Desert Kingdoms once again. As a Moon God, Her approach is more softer in which successfully made Vin to finally get back to his shape again but years of sadness leave a long lasting impact mentally and physically. He is very weak and not being able to cope with little pressure. He rarely smile and have difficulty to communicate. Despite all of that, The Moon God is able to made him smart at least that he can create his own company to provide experimental assets to his client in which for now is her and Minp. The Moon God also taught him the art of shapeshifting and creating an entirely new species out of a single cell in which he create his shark form later on.

Still, Vin still need more guidance. Even in current state he still severely outmatched by his brother in all aspect. There are still more stuff to grind if he want to become as great as his mother.
