I like dual-weilding needlers... but perhaps it's just because I'm a masochistic maniac with a propensity to blow sh!t up ^^;

I'm with you there... there's nothing worse than level-based or dice-rolling battle... Skill is what combat is all about - skill and talent. Combat games need to be balanced.

I love one-shot kills, though I generally like *ahem* _rockets_ rather than traditional sniper ammunition for the job (overkill? what is that?) bigger booms are better.

Since I started playing that, I stopped with Halo and Half-Life... even mailed my CDs to some of my friends.

I dun mind dice-rolling, I'm a 40k player, though sometimes it is anoying...
I guess we're just different on the style...me = precision, you = destruction
I dun mind having an RL againt a Wraith or Scorpion though, Otherwise, I just snipe people down from the vehicles...

oh, don't get me wrong, Precision is the cornerstone of destruction... I just prefer precision with bigger guns =3

I'm all for getting the 'perfect shot'; line up and take them out in one hit, no less. Thing is, I like to throw all my power into each shot - I play for a quick and decisive victory rather than an enduring firefight, and I find overwhelming force to be the most effective method. (this is partly out of necessity - if I drag a battle out to more than 5 mins or so, my PC will start to melt...) so either I jump in the fray and slug it out up close, fast and furious, or I use stealth to snipe from a distance.

I preferr Method 2, though judging by your description you're a rusher...
Maybe my preference for stealth has come from too much Splinter Cell XD or the fact that I like beeing more or less invisible...

Rusher? I can play it either way... in FPS I like to hang back and use cover best I can most of the time, and where there's no cover, I slug it out up close with superior firepower.
