So, I was looking at this engraving and talking to some other smiths and this piece caught my eye. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipe.....our_smiths.jpg In the lower left of the image on the work bench there is a 3 pronged tool.

It stood out to me as something so bizarre, but in that moment I felt I knew exactly what it was for and I guessed that it had to be some sort of multi-tool scribe. It seemed like something so handy to have and I another smith confirmed to me that it was exactly what I thought it was.

I absolutely had to have it, so I made one based on the depiction as well as an actual example forged by another smith.

The tool has many uses. The scribe is for scratching lines onto steel that need to be cut or filed to shape. The reamer/pry tool can be used to enlarge holes that may be too small, or pry pieces apart. The awl can widen holes in leather and hold the place of holes that need to be riveted.

I don't intend on getting into armour smithing, but this is actually a very handy tool to have.
