Yarg I feel so angsty over work and feeling like I am not getting much done when I have in fact been working for hours on end, so in my angst I like feel the need to post proof that I am in fact working!!! *pants
This is not sewn yet! it is safety pinned together and basted (loosely sewn) waiting to be machine sewn, the zipper and tail hole is done and the seams have been brushed out....BUT I still have to get the 3 white spines into the one leg but AGH my muse died on me and after fussing and fuming for 45 minutes I gave up and called it quits...I am gonna try again here in a bit...and then after that I have to get it turned back inside out and then start machine sewing...and when it is sewn once I have to trim down the seam excess then sew again...and then I have to cut out the leg padding backings, sew zippers into the backings, then hand sew on the backings, then fill the leg shapes with stuffing, then turn right side around.
there are also dragon feets back there, oh and note the sign on the wall!!!!!!
PS quilted black scales jfdkjhskahjkdahfhsd took ages man! Slow work is slow on complex dragon :P
His head has hardly been started but the feet, tail (ugh those belt loops took forever to fix) and wings are done and the body is almost halfway done (yes it looks so done but it is only like 2/5ths done! *sobs)

THE CHEST SCALES LOOK SO NARROW HERE CAUSE THE ZIPPER IS DOWN THE BACK TO THE SUIT IS SPREAD OUT SO YOU SEE THE SIDES OF THE SUIT HERE BUT I SWEAR THE CHEST SCAKES ARE PLENTY WIDE *pants in panic over how narrow they look

this stuff does not breath like at all, fake fur is hot but it still has airflow, fake leather is like plastic, it'd be SO hot.
And most of it does not stretch well, you'd have to be careful to find a material that has enough stretch to it but is not the kind of stretch that warps (ie you need a material that goes back to how it was before being stretched,)

pffft my muse is a butthead, when she cooperates fully though I AM A MACHINE you like cannot even talk to me because I will come across as a bitch trying to eat your head off.
....But I REALLY don't mean to be a bicth, it's just that I get so focused on work that I like go into my own world and talking to me pulls me out of this world and, well basically when my muse is on fire she kicks my brain if I am not working so I get grumpy easy if you pull me away from work :p
...but when she does not want to work I like sit here in either a "lol nope, I am gonna do this rather than work" mood or in a "oh dear gawd why won;t my hands work" mood XD
