I heard somewhere that alcohol may actually be an ideal food item for living inflatables, something about the chemical composition being able to be broken down in such a way that they could be recombined into plastic molecules that the body could use for things such as energy or material repair/reinforcement. No idea how accurate that idea is, but I rather like it!
