And here are all the cards I've done this week!
First we have a puppycow who wished to be drawn in work and play modes. Her work mode is a meat hawker for a ren faire, so she's trying to lure you with a turkey leg! I haven't drawn a bovine in awhile and I hope I did it justice.
Next is a story still from Wolfteller where a couple of gentlemen are playing christmas carols for a young lady pregnant with twins. I tried to make the image sweet and intimate.
Next row is birthday present Quantumdragon got for himself of his character Bloodstrype and Three. He asked for an intimate moment and then added that he wanted it in zero gravity on a ship, so I thought it would be cute if she decided to steal his pillow and refused to give it back (As someone who has been married for fifteen years I can tell you that it's little silly games like that that make a relationship fun) So Three is clinging to the pillow for dear life and Bloodstrype has her (gently) by the tail so she won't get too far. In the background is the gas giant the ship is flying near. What posesses me to do detail like this on a card I shall never know....
After that we have Snow the husky who wished to be drawn as a Republic trooper from the upcoming Old Republic MMO. Since he was gray and the armor was metallic gray I decided to go with a very warm background with an explody look to it.
Next is another image for Tygon. He wasn't sure what he wanted to I suggested drawing him and Three smooching to make the streamers jealous. It worked. Of course we don't know why they're smooching. Maybe they're trying to look innocuous or just had a particularly emotional intensive moment that required some venting. I love doing images like this that the person who receives the card can translate however they wish.
Row below that is a raccoon gal with a little bit of attitude perching on a wooden fence. I'd be very wary of anyone with a look like that in their eye, particularly a raccoon.
After that we have Datban's Kitsune character Kiviena making her morning cup of tea. The nice thing about having magical powers is that you don;t have to get out of bed to put the kettle on. The scan doesn't show it but the mug has little silver sparklies around it.
After that we have the card I drew last night for a warmup of Three brushing her hair. By the way she's dressed she's prepping for a night on the town.
And then we have another one of Datban's characters, Molly the Dreamspinner. He asked for a sort of roguish fighter type but said she wasn't particularly sneaky. That works fine for me because I usually play Rogues as people who get into things they shouldn't and then just stab people in the face.
Bottom row is a singing Tiger named Artemi with bright stripes. He sort of looks like he's made of candy!
After that we have Another Dreamspinner named Krinele who is casing a defensive spell, probably against a dragon burp or a random explosion. Since she has that silvery fur I felt that gold armor would suit her best.
And finally we have Malk, a foo dog from a story by Graveyard Greg. He's a bully and an ass so I wanted him to look like a not very nice person. Considering all the pointy elements on a foo dog it wasn't too hard. He's probably about to spike that softball in someone's face. (Since Foo dogs are normally drawn with a ball in their hands or mouths, I decided he needed to be holding some kind of ball, even a sporty one.)
All of these cards are 2.5 x 3.5 illustration board drawn in sepia ink, colored in copics, and touched up with colored pencil and gelpen. I draw them (usually) three nights a week live via my livestream and a webcam mounted above my drawing table.
And that's all the cards for this week. See you monday!
