Ursidae GCC SAW gunner, The squad automatic weapons of the GCC are ussually handed to the biggest members of the Detachment as directed by the Detachment Lieutenant. Usually one is assigned for each of the 3 Sections, Which can be parceled out or consolidated into a Machine gun section consisting of a Sargent and 3 SAW pairs. Assault Detachments are assigned an extra SAW per section to provide further increased Automatic firepower.

The RPD provides a stark increase in infantry fire power over previous Magazine fed LMG's the Gran Coro Combine fielded, Providing each Gunner a belt of 100 rounds stored in a drum container. Soldiers are trained to make these belts last, firing in short 2-4 round bursts spaced by a few seconds.

The Trooper wears the standard Machine Gunners Rig, a modification of the standard rifle rig with two large chest pouches, each holding an additional Drum box with a 100 round belt at quick access, additional Drums are given to a designated Assistant Machine gunner, or spread around the squad haversacks.
