Their bodies almost make a heart shape omggggg I love it, it's great to see you experimenting with textures, crumpled paper is actually one of my favorites for things far in the background like mountains, I even sometimes flatten the texture and use it for water, the way you are making fur is sorta like how I wanna do it in the future, I use fur texture brushes and smudge the outside to look like fur, I might try and paint individual strands for hair on my next artwork to make it look different to fur hmmmmmmm.

Ah, sorry for taking a while to respond!
Thank you so much <3 I usually don't mess with textures, they kind of intimidate me haha. I can't incorporate them well so i just give up... fur is probably the only thing i can draw with some texture to it and i do it by hand. Instead of blurring the edges like you said, i'm doing every strand seperately with some painterly-looking brush. Pretty time consuming so i don't do it often. I'd love to see your introduced technique in play, i say go for it!

Forgot to mention, I'm one of those crazy people that ignore professional's advice of only having like 20 brushes or whatever, I use hundreds of brushes and I actually use a decent amount of them, I think I only really use the smudge tool for fur but I wanna try using it for other things lile clouds or maybe giving a motion blur effect to things.
To be honest, i don't get having a billion brushes! Makes my head hurt trying to keep them all in mind when drawing. I mostly stick to the basic one, the spray, one pencil-esque and break out a paint imitation one too every so often (like here). I've never heard about it being pro's advice, tho :o the more you know. I don't really touch the smudge tool and never have, but using it for motion blur sounds interesting.
