Before Chorre or Rena was born, the skunktaur engineer Vroeg and his lifemate Maine found a human boy on Amistad one day, who they decided to adopt and name him “FaPing”; it was a name contributed by both skunktaurs, with Vroeg coming up with the “Fa” (flower) and Maine linking it with the “Ping” (Peace).

This name essentially means “A flower that has found peace”, as both skuntkaurs swore to help the poor boy overcome the traumatic experience on Terra, and be prepared, accompany him on the journey of finding his own inner peace; this experience will greatly help Vroeg, specifically, the skuntkaur will become an invaluable mentor for a young man who seeks his dream in Chakona 45 years later.
