In days of old, before she joined the ranks of the Stellar Typhoon, Blackmask was one of those many hardy souls who plied the spacelanes trading just about anything she could lay her paws on - through means that were often dubious, occasionally dishonest, but never dull. This line of work frequently took her to some of the seediest spaceports and stations in the Cosmos, and like all good commercial pilots, Blackmask knew how to play hard as well as work hard. Many was the night where she'd go up against types considerably meaner and rougher than her - and as often as not come out on top. This is just a typical example, in which Blackmask - egged on by some fellow independent pilots - has challenged a member of a company ship's crew to a good old-fashioned arm wrestle.
