―✧―This last year has been brutal. A constant barrage of bad news and bad luck, things completely out of our control, to a point where it feels like the universe is straight up conspiring against us and our families. Pet deaths, health scares, financial strain... I won't share the details, but life has been awfully determined to bring us down lately. Not to mention current global events; I am ashamed to admit I started avoiding the news to preserve my mental health. It seems like the entire world is in a downward spiral, and it’s getting really scary. I am infinitely grateful to have such a wonderful loving man in my life to face that scary unpredictable world with, to have a stable peaceful space in him that I know I can always withdraw into. In his arms, I can forget the scary world out there, if even just for a moment. With him, everything is perfect. My safe haven. My personal sanctuary. My piece of heaven on Earth 🤍

It's really important to have someone like this. And I am really glad and grateful for you to have found that someone! And if you ever need help, reach out, and I will answer as best I can. There are few people I'd consider helping unconditionally without even knowing them for real, but I feel like I have a hunch of what kind of person you are. And you are someone who deserves all the good that is coming your way. Enjoy each other's company thoroughly!
I think I am a good judge of character, and while I'm not always right, I've never been severely disappointed in someone I trusted. And I think you are someone to trust.
It may be a bit strange, but what I'm looking for in a person is usually the "pack mentality". The thought of "We stick together no matter what." The world may burn around us, but a pack sticks together. This is really rare nowadays, and many people try to fake it, but you can always trust someone who genuinely is like that.

If by "pack mentality" you mean blind loyalty, it's something I distanced myself from years ago. I used to value blind loyalty a lot and it was terrible for many different reasons (I'm not proud of who I was back then in general). But if by pack mentality you mean someone who cherishes and protects those who are dear to me, then I agree of course. That is a quality everyone should have :) I strive to be the very best version of myself nowadays, and to ensure my loved ones are always safe and happy! It doesn't matter to me if we haven't talked in ages – those I love, I will always show up for if they need me.
Exactly. Blind loyalty is dangerous, for oneself and for the ones you are loyal to. But what I meant is being loyal in the sense that you will critique them and try to help if they let you, and distance yourself otherwise. If they are actively bad for you, then distance yourself, but, at least for me, everyone gets a second chance if they have been in my pack once.
