Story of Sol | The Phosphate Plains
The Phosphate Plains. A slightly more civilized region of Sol, if you count tyrants, slavers, and a ruling ultra-wealthy class an improvement over the general lawlessness of the Iron Province.
Second attempt at map drawing, and much better than the first.Posted using PostyBirb

So, The Wall... Some form of ancient megastructure? It seems, if this map is accurate, to be a transcontinental feature. The fact it extends across, through, and possibly below extensive ocean makes it an engineering marvel. I'm curious if this is global, or "merely" on a single continent. If it's global, I've got a HUGE number of questions that will follow.
I'm rather curious to know if all the STEEL and other factions are also anthros, or if there are humans present, considering the naming conventions. Also, I'm curious as to the underlying cosmology in the setting (things like how the reality there functions (or doesn't), etc.).
Anthros across the board, but certain species are more prevalent with different factions. And yes there are more out there than just STEEL Corp. and the Eltyrian Empire.
As for how reality functions, it was no different to our world. No magic, no superpowers, what goes up must come down, etc. So you can imagine the chaos that ensured when the Void emerged and a very potent power along with it. A power that can defy basic understandings of the universe, among other things... More on that one down the line.

My guess would be the classic Russia / USA dichotomy for STEEL and Eltyr, respectively, though I'm not sure, as aside from terse communications and a short look at a small amount of architecture, there's been no real displays to draw effective parallels yet. It could equally be Russia/China, US/China, or some other, unexpected mix.
I do wonder what STEEL is an acronym for...
I am reminded of the Dune Encyclopedia, where "Houses Steel and Washington" are mentioned, referring to the (at the time of printing still in existence) Soviet Union and the USA, respectively.

STEEL was largely inspired by the American war machine & corporate culture taken to the next level. STEEL is ruthless, destructive, and highly industrial. Its also why their architecture and designs are so simple, blocky, and often unchanged from our world today, 700 years prior. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Eltyr may be an empire, but it functions as a union while taking inspiration from a combination of various European cultures. They never abandoned their old-world identities & cultures and try integrating it in what they do. Often times it just means their creations are more stylistic, but also that tech is used where it is a benefit, not a luxury. People in Eltyr often use tech more sparingly than STEEL or other factions, but that doesn't mean they are inexperienced with it. In fact some of the most advanced tech & creations across all factions is Eltyrian.
I do wish to explore Eltyrian architecture more, but so far the only depiction I have made was Unity Tower at the Nest when Clover met a certain someone.
